over… is K’s debut single and was released on March 2, 2005. It reached #5 on the Oricon charts and has sold a total of 167,925 copies. over… was used as the theme song to the drama H2 ~Kimi to Ita Hibi~.

Anyone who hasn’t listened to K and wants to jump into his music should start with “over…” It is a sad yet beautiful piano ballad in which K inputs a lot of emotion. The chorus is truly the most memorable when K’s vocals reach their peak and are truly stunning.

The first B-side is “Taisetsu na Hito.” It has more beats and has a great intro in my opinion. K’s vocals are similar to over… and the piano arrangement is beautiful in this track as well. I love the use of bells and other synth in use. K’s vocals are great especially during the chorus.

The last B-side is “ONE LAST CRY,” a cover of Brian McKnight’s song. The piano arrangement is enchanting and piano always gets me. However, K’s English needs work, but it gets much better in later releases. Other than pronunciation, the vocals are good!
